Meadowkirk Retreat at Delta Farm – Loudoun County, VA
Meadowkirk Retreat at Delta Farm is a church camp and retreat site located on 358 scenic acres in the heart of Loudoun County. christopher consultants worked with National Capital Presbyterian Inc. (NCPI), an organization that manages 100 Presbyterian churches in the DC metro area, to relocate the camp from Gainesville to Middleburg, Virginia. The camp features multiple onsite hotel and family-style facilities and meeting space for 180. christopher provided stakeout for the facilities, parking lots, the internal road network and the walking paths on the site. christopher also provided topography surveys, boundary surveys, as-built surveys, construction site plans, and stormwater management plans for the Meadowkirk Retreat.
Due to the 501(c)(3) status of NCPI, special exception permitting was required. Based on discussions and negotiations with VDOT, christopher consultants was able to show that the operating speed on the VDOT road was less than legally allowed, thus reducing the site distance needed. christopher designed the entrance of Meadowkirk Retreat and provided permitting services in compliance with Loudoun County and VDOT. christopher also provided preliminary design and grading permits.
