Lou Canonico is Vice President of the christopher Special Services Division. As such, Lou oversees the landscape architecture and land planning group, urban forestry and expert witness testimony related to condemnation cases. Lou also handles quality control/quality assurance for all of christopher. Lou joined christopher in 1984 and has a lifelong history of involvement with land development projects and issues in the Washington metropolitan area, with a strong emphasis on Loudoun County.
Lou is a past Chairman of Loudoun County’s Economic Development Commission and is past President and life member of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association’s Loudoun Chapter. He is currently the co-chair of the Loudoun Subcommittee of NAIOP’s Government Relations Committee. He was appointed by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors to be a member of the County’s Zoning Ordinance Advisory Group and is Vice Chair of that group.
Lou graduated from the United States Military Academy: West Point in 1972 and served 11 years of active and reserve duty with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
