Christopher C. Fillmore, L.S. joined christopher consultants, ltd. in 2005 as a Survey Coordinator. This allowed him to be extremely involved in the day-to-day operations of the survey department, as well as an advocate for christopher’s clients. In this position, he led teams that developed highly accurate geodetic networks, refined and automated the construction stakeout processes, and innovated the use of higher survey technologies for common survey applications.
Chris was named a Senior Associate of the Firm in October 2013. As Senior Associate, he has proven to be integral to christopher’s continued growth and success of the survey division in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. He has and continues to introduce operational efficiencies through process improvement and leveraging technology advancements. Chris’s primary focus is on client interaction and management of various private and public projects throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.
Chris has over 20 years of experience surveying throughout Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC, and is a licensed land surveyor in Virginia and the District of Columbia. Chris is known for his clear and concise communication skills, creative survey approach and solid technical base. He employs a proactive management approach for each of his projects to identify and mitigate potential issues before they can impact the project’s budget or schedule.
Passionate about the Land Surveying profession, Chris has volunteered in multiple teaching assignments including George Mason University and as the Year 4 Survey Instructor for the Fairfax County Adult and Community Education Land Surveying Apprenticeship Program. He is a member of the District of Columbia Association of Land Surveyors and currently services as the Treasurer/Secretary of the Mount Vernon Chapter of the Virginia Association of Land Surveyors. A graduate of Old Dominion University, Chris is a history buff, and in his spare time Chris enjoys scuba diving ship wrecks off the Atlantic Coast. He lives with his wife and two children in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
