Loudoun County Public Safety Firing Range – Loudoun County, Virginia
christopher is providing civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture services for the new, 60,362 SF Public Safety Firing Range for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in Leesburg, Virginia. Project efforts to date include field surveying, programming and conceptual design, Special Exception and Commission permitting and processing, community outreach and construction documents for all civil/site design and landscape architecture. The scope of civil engineering and landscaping services include the design of roadway improvements on Shreve Mill Road (Route 653) and the addition of a left-turn lane onto Evergreen Mill Road (Route 621), right-of-way and easement acquisition services, construction administration services and environmental permitting.
The facility is planned to include three masonry structures, including a 54,362 SF facility containing two firing ranges, locker rooms, classrooms and office space. The second, 6,000 SF building, will be designated for scenario training. A third, 300 SF building will contain water treatment equipment for the on-site wells.
